Theo and Lena are neighbours and best friends – at least, Theo thinks that Lena is his best friend, despite the escapades into which she regularly drags him. In a wonderful village in Norway they have plenty of time to re-enact  stories, enjoy the beginning of summer celebrations with their families and even advertise for a new dad for Lena. This best friends will make exciting companions for young readers as they share their fun-filled antics, as well as some important understandings of family and friendship.

Maria Parr is an outstanding Norwegian children’s author. Her debut novel, Vaffelhjarte ("Waffle Hearts" o "Corazones de Gofre"), has been translated into more than fifteen different languages, and won France’s Prix Sorcières in 2010, the Dutch Zilveren Griffel in 2008, and was shortlisted for Norway’s prestigious Brage Prize. It has also been made into a popular children’s television series in Norway. Her second novel, Tonje Glimmerdal, won the Brage Prize and the Norwegian Critics’ Prize in 2009. Maria has a Master’s degree in Nordic Languages and Literature and works as a primary school teacher. She lives in Norway with her family.

Of Polish origin, award winning Zuzanna Celej has a BA Honours in fine Arts at University of Barcelona and Majored in Illustration at the Llotja Art School in Barcelona.

She has illustrated a number successful children picture books such as Moon's Messenger and The Lighthouse of Souls. She won Gold Medal as Best Illustrator at the 2013 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards.
